A native of Moraga, California, Dr. Roth completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed a general surgery internship at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital and the orthopaedic surgery residency program at Harvard Medical School.
